Sheri Clark, MSW, RSW, RP
Social Worker, Psychotherapist
Sheri is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Worker. Sheri has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University and has been practicing since 2001 with a focus on mental health. During her career, Sheri has worked in community settings, family doctor’s offices and hospitals. As a Register Social Worker, Sheri’s services are covered by most extended health care insurance.
Ensuring that counselling/psychotherapy is person centred and co-created with each individual is the foundation of Sheri’s work. In sharing your hopes and goals for counselling, you and Sheri will discuss options for next steps in moving forward. In order to get the most benefit from your counselling, a transfer of skills or awareness into everyday life is essential. This is YOUR counselling and Sheri hopes to join you on your journey.
Noticing a shift in the needs of the individuals that she encounters, Sheri creates a safe space for individuals to “come out” with their spirituality and Sheri will follow your request to integrate the spiritual aspects of your life into counselling. Many individuals are struggling with feelings of anxiety and depression that seem to be rooted in a deeper spiritual context of feeling disconnected from their true self and the people in their life. Sheri has been able to join her knowledge and experience in traditional therapies with spirituality that enhances both the best practice guidelines required by her professional college and honors the ancient spiritual knowledge.
Sheri brings a practical and creative aspect to traditional therapies such as CBT for anxiety and depression. Sheri has completed ongoing professional development in areas including CBT, DBT Coping Skills, Mindfulness, Transformative Mindfulness Methods, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy and practices from a trauma informed care model.
Areas that Sheri can be of assistance include, anxiety, depression, stress management, coping skill development, coping with a parent with Borderline Personality Disorder or Narcissistic parent, emotional neglect/abuse, women’s health (postpartum depression or anxiety, miscarriage or pregnancy after miscarriage). Please feel free to call and see if your concern is something that you and Sheri can work on towards finding solutions.
Separate from her role as a social worker, Sheri offers Energy Work in the form of Causal Realignment and is a Master Instructor of Integrated Energy Therapy (IET). Causal realignment is the process of bringing the physical, astral, mental and causal bodies into perfect harmonious alignment. This process also mends rips, holes, tears and folds in the different layers of the aura and the chakras as it aligns them. This is the only known treatment that is able to work directly with the causal body and bring it into alignment with you and the earth.
IET was designed to get the “issues out of your tissues” for good! Developed at the Center of Being, by Stevan J. Thayer, IET uses the violet angelic energy ray, as brought to us through the nine Healing Angels of the Energy Field, to work directly with your 12 Strand Spiritual DNA. IET supports you in safely and gently releasing limiting energy patterns of your past, empowering and balancing your life in the present, and helps you to reach for the stars as you evolve into your future. It helps release issues such as heart ache, anger, guilt, and “should”s without having to talk about the events that may have contributed to these energy blocks.
Sheri is also available for presentations, workshops, case consultation or clinical supervision.
