Jen Rosa-Dupuis M.Sc., R.P.
I have been working with people in therapeutic settings for the past 14 years. I’m a relational therapist and I work primarily with couples and families. My practice is rooted in a social justice and anti-oppressive framework and it is important to me to make my work as accessible as possible. I work with people of all sexual and gender orientations and couples in all types of relationship contracts. I work toward a preferred shared vision of the relationship in which all partners can feel heard and respected as well as understanding motivation behind the behaviours and patterns. My therapy training is in systemic therapy models and I ground myself in a collaborative way of working.
I know personally how hard and overwhelming it can be to seek support. I listen to you to create a space that feels safe and free of judgement. I deeply believe in people’s strengths and resilience and I work toward bringing these toward the light in an honouring and gentle manner. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative.
My commitment to you is for you to feel heard during our conversations. I offer a clear path toward making some meaningful and sustaining changes in your life and relationships.
My passion is being there for when people feel “stuck” and have run out of solutions. I know that you’ve already tried really hard to feel differently and improve your relationships. I trust that you are resourceful, intelligent, and capable of change.
My variety and breath of professional experience is unique. I have worked within agencies, a child and adolescent clinic, adventure/wilderness therapy settings, family health teams, and leading therapeutic retreats and treks. Because of my range of experience, I can offer you a therapeutic experience that is different than the one you see or envision in mainstream media and culture.
Personally, I grew up in Quebec and feel deeply rooted to the language, culture, and natural environment. I have lived across Canada, from the mountains to the sea, and the US. Guelph is now my home.
I am an adventurer and love exploring and deepening my knowledge about myself and the world around me. I love bright colours, movement, yoga, creating, cooking, laughing, all things outdoors/nature related, music, spending time with my family, and meaningfully connecting with the important people in my life.
I also offer services in French.
I look forward to hearing from you and talking about how we can work together for you to experience meaningful change.
